Sissacherfluh

The 700-metre-high Sissacherfluh (Sissach ridge) is a well-known vantage point and guarantees a great view over Ergolztal and Diegtertal – and even as far as the Alps.

The homely restaurant treats diners to hearty home cooking, while the large meadow in the forest clearing has plenty of space for picnics and play. The viewing platform on the Sissacherfluh is at 700 metres and provides a wonderful panoramic view of the area. Information panels provide further details for visitors. The viewing point is slap bang in the middle of a popular hiking area, which features lots of great trails. Close by are the Sissacherfluh ruins, where you can see the remains of the walls.
You can get to the ridge easily on foot, by car (except on Sundays) or by bus. The nearest bus stop is ‘Sissach Sissacherfluh’, which is about 20 minutes’ walk from the viewing point.
