Park im Grünen

The Park im Grünen is a popular place to visit and take it easy in Münchenstein. Originally built for a garden show in 1980, it now attracts countless visitors.

The Park im Grünen – also known to many as Grün80 – is the biggest park in north-west Switzerland. For more than three decades, it has been one of the most popular spots in the region for Sunday outings and family gatherings. The 46-hectare public gardens contain several lakes and ponds, winding paths and pretty walking trails, fire pits, green meadows and impressive synthetic sculptures. The Park im Grünen is a place to relax and take it easy, surrounded by nature, and is a popular meeting place for young and old. You’ll also find two restaurants, a kiosk and a small shop there.
Children, in particular, love the park because of its many playgrounds, mini-golf course, carousel, play spaces, pond with leaping fountain and many other child-friendly elements.
