Chaltbrunnental

The Chaltbrunnental is one of the most popular places to visit in Laufental. Its towering cliffs, caves and spectacular waterfalls fascinate young and old alike.

In the Kaltbrunnental, you’ll find moss-covered cliffs, spectacular waterfalls and prehistoric caves, which were inhabited in the Stone Age. The Kaltbrunnental caves were long ago discovered to be a source of relics from early history. No other area of Switzerland can boast such a wealth of treasures in such a small space, and which are all easy to get to and enjoy while hiking. Information panels on the Karst educational trail give hikers and wanderers details and secrets about the caves and their excavation. The educational trail leads from Zwingen train station via Brislachallmet and Kaltbrunnental to Grellingen.
