Belchenfluh

The excellent vantage point at 1098.8 metres up on the Belchenfluh, which offers a panoramic view complete with information panels, is a big draw for hikers and walkers in the area.

A wonderful hiking area stretches between Eptingen, Waldenburg and Langenbruck: romantic trails over rocky ridges entice you to climb the 1098.8 m Belchenfluh, from where you’ll have an unparalleled view.
This viewing point is the highest point of the Swiss Belchen ridge, on the border between Baselland and Solothurn, and is best reached on foot. On a clear day, you will be rewarded with a beautiful panorama of the Black Forest, the Vosges mountains and the Alps. You can even see as far as the Mont Blanc! The Belchenfluh is easy to get to from Chilchzimmersttel and the Challhöchi pass. The last stretch of the track to the rocky summit is steep but handrails are provided.
