Dom Arlesheim

The baroque cathedral of Arlesheim is interesting for its impressive architecture and famous Silbermann organ. It is Switzerland’s only cathedral and the symbol of Arlesheim.

The famous Arlesheim cathedral was consecrated in 1681. Mass and various parish business affairs are still conducted in the cathedral today. Prepare to be amazed by the wonderful architecture and enjoy the beautiful sounds of the only working Silbermann organ in Switzerland. Concerts and tours are held regularly in the cathedral.
The cathedral is right in the centre of Arlesheim and can be seen from miles around. It lies directly on the busy Domplatz (cathedral place), around which you’ll find plenty of shops and restaurants.
